Basant Kumar Gautam

Basant Kumar Gautam is Founding President of NSPS. Founding Assistant Secretary of Nepal Physical Society, Founding General Secretary of Society for Democratic Thinking. He Joined University as an Instructor and was gradually promoted to Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer and Associate Professor.

In 1983, Mr. Gautam worked as Junior Associate Member of ICTP (International Center For Theoretical Physics). Member of T.U Senate for 2047-48. From 2044 to 2046, Mr. Gautam worked as President of NUTA Campus Unit. From 2055 to 2059, he worked as President of Society for Democratic Thinking. Mr. Gautam worked as Chief Secretary of Nepali Congress Central Office, Principal Personal Secretary For former prime minister of Nepal, Girija Prasad Koirala from 2063 To 2065 and former prime minister of Nepal Sushil Koirala from 2070 To 2072.

Gautam Published नेपाल ज्येष्ठ प्राध्यापक समाज, एक परिचय and सृजन मन्त्र । He was also worked as a co-author in physics for grade xi, physics for grade xii and numerical problems in physics.

Dr. Bimal Kumar Sharma is the current president of Nepal Senior Professors’ Society. Dr. Sharma is the president of CIT Nepal, founding President of Computer Association of Nepal CAN Federation, and founding General Secretary of History Association of Nepal. Dr. Sharma is also an Associate Professor of History at Trichandra College, Kathmandu. He joined Tribuvan University as an instructor in 1978, and was gradually promoted to Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer and Associate Professor. He served as Assistant Campus Chief from 1991-1993. During this period, he also worked as Acting Campus Chief for about a year. Between 2008 to 2013 Sharma worked as the Head of the Department of History in the same college.

In addition to the education sector, Sharma worked as a Member-Secretary at Lumbini Development Trust between 1997 and 2000. During this period, he published dozens of research articles.

Dr. Sharma has been honored by the medal Suprabal Gorkha Dakkshin Bahu from the then King Birendra and the medal Dirgha Sewa Padak from Tribhuwan University.

From 1988 to 1998, Sharma worked as Managing Director at Computer Consult Pvt. Ltd, coordinated to develop various computer training courses for training centers, and also advocated the need of computer education for government officials.

He worked in the capacity of coordinator with the Education Committee of Computer Association of Nepal from 1992 to 1994. He also actively coordinated in award selection committee (ICT Excellence Awards, etc) since its inception in 2010.
