This Senior Professors Association opinion came from the meeting of some retired professors from prof. Basant Kumar Gautam took place on 4th Bhadra 2066. The need of this society was justified by the gathering of professors who have served for a long time in affiliated universities, campuses and research centers under the university held on Thursday 1st of Ashwin. In addition, with the aim of organizing a large meeting of the concerned group from this meeting, the five-member meeting organizing committee under the coordination of prof. Basant Kumar Gautam was entrusted with the responsibility of presenting the services of the law. A five-member ad-hoc committee was formed under the chairmanship of Mr. Gautam. This committee held the meeting of the first general meeting held on Friday 6th Chaitra 2066.

It was decided to change the name of the organization to 'Nepal Senior Professors’ Society' in English. From the first general meeting, a working committee was formed from prof. Basant Kumar Gautam. The constitution of Nepal Senior Professors Association was formally registered in the district administration office on Monday 12 Baisakh 2068.
